Claude Kirkpatrick was a Louisiana state representative from Jefferson Davis Parish. Kirkpatrick served in the Legislature from 1952 to 1960. Following his stint in the Legislature, Kirkpatrick worked for four years as Director of the Louisiana Department of Public works, ending in 1964. Kirkpatrick was a gubernatorial candidate for the 1964 Louisiana governor's race, running as an "independent democrat."
